Welcome to the Contractor Insurance Management System (CIMS).
CIMS is a service provided by Australias largest local government self-insurance pool, Statewide Mutual. CIMS assists Councils in managing their Contractors’ insurances and work health and safety document to ensure they are appropriately covered for the work that they will be undertaking.
If you are a Contractor and this is your first time using CIMS, please refer to our ‘Quick Start Guide for Contractors’ located in the HELP & SUPPORT page.
For an improved user experience, we recommend using Google Chrome browser.
Important Announcement about CIMS
From 1st January 2020, the CIMS platform will be ceased. This means that CIMS and all its associated services, including insurance verifications and contact centre support, will remain available for the remainder of the year. From 1st January 2020, the platform will become inactive and all Councils and contractors will be unable to access the system.
The transition process
We are working with Councils that are currently using CIMS on a transition-out strategy and we will endeavour to make this as smooth as possible.
Please continue with business as usual until you receive further notice from your Council or directly from CIMS.
If your CIMS account subscription is due for renewal during this period, you will still be able to renew until 31st December 2019 and the subscription fees will be reduced incrementally. If you have a pre-paid your subscription that expires after 31st March 2020, you may be eligible for a refund. CIMS will contact you directly to organise this.
